How much should I expect to pay for a hanger?
Hangers range in price and can vary greatly in desirability. Size, electric doors, sliding doors, concrete floors, dirt floors, heat, south facing, etc.
Visit your airport and see what's available. In many regions of the country, the supply of hangars is very low and pilots are waiting for years before a lease is offer to them. This is frustrating for someone who's ready to take delivery of a brand new $500,000.00 airplane.
When you first even think you might become an airplane owner, drive over to your airport (or several airports) and place your name on the ""hanger list."" If you're lucky, your hanger will become available before your plane does!
If it costs you a couple hundred dollars to hold a spot. . . Don't you think it's worth it?
